I'll be at the Tucson Book Fair this weekend!

If any of you live in the Tucson area, look up the Tucson Book Fair! I'll be there, speaking on Sunday at 2:30 in a panel about writing about birds. Then, afterward, I'll be signing books and talking with people and signing books. I'm really looking forward to doing this and meeting everyone who comes! I hope you can make it!

Sincerely,
Stacey O'Brien

HELLO STACEY. I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A WAY TO CONTACT YOU. SO FAR, THIS IS WHAT I HAVE FOUND! I AM CURRENTLY READING ABOUT YOU AND WESLEY-ONLY 1/4 WAY THROUGH THE BOOK BUT IT HAS TOUCHED ME SO DEEPLY. I HAVE TWO WILD BIRDS THAT COULD NOT BE RELEASED BECAUSE OF INJURIES. GOT THEM AS DAY OLD BABIES AND I AM THEIR MOTHER. OUR BOND IS INCREDIBLE AND I LOVE THEM WITH ALL OF MY HEART! EVERYTHING I DO AND ANYWHERE I GO IS DETERMINED BY WHAT TIME I NEED TO FEED THEM. THEY WILL BOTH BE A YEAR OLD IN MAY 2010. I THOUGHT THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE ON EARTH THAT KNEW HOW I FELT ABOUT THEM UNTIL I STARTED READING ABOUT YOU AND WESLEY. I WOULD SO MUCH LIKE TO SHARE STORIES WITH YOU. THESE WONDERFUL LITTLE BEINGS CERTAINLY CHANGE OUR LIVES, DON'T THEY?

Hey Stacy,

I just wanted to give you a link to a website with a live barn owl on stream. I'm sure you have probably heard about it, but if not...

I really enjoyed your book. Great work!

Stacey, I just "read" (actually it was an audiobook :)) your story in record time. Love it, love you, am following your blog! I'm watching your YouTube videos as I write this. You are terrific-- as a scientist and as a human being.

I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing more from you in the future.

Thank you :)

Hi Stacey, I hope you are feeling well at the moment and are enjoying your northern hemisphere spring. I'm in New Zealand and learned about you and Wesley from Carlos Royal's live stream of the barn owl Molly and her owlets. Seeing them in their nest I can understand how your heart went out to Wesley. What a wonderful love story yours was, my heart does a little squeeze when I think of it. Thanks for sharing! I hope you are watching Molly. x

Thank you for your appearance in the chat room of Molly the Owl tonight! You must have felt like you were at the end of a bowling alley with all those questions flying at you! Great job.

The first time I ever saw a Barn Owl, I wept. The grace and unearthly beauty is almost painful to me, if that makes any sense. Why some call this owl the Common Barn Owl I'll never understand.

Thanks again for sharing!
